CBS News

In 2022 we started to work with CBS News, bringing our ideas of character-driven storytelling to one of the most successful and biggest networks in the United States.

We began with KPIX, the CBS O&O in San Francisco, and put 40 journalists – ranging from MMJs to Photographers through our intensive 5-day video storytelling bootcamp.

The ratings began to climb and more importantly, audience engagement went through the ceiling.

The results were so good that CBS invited us to bring the idea and our training to their 14 O&O stations across the country.

For the past two years, we have been training CBS News journalists, producers and photographers to tell their stories in a very different way.

It creates a far more powerful, more engaging, and more intimate kind of TV storytelling. Think of it as marrying News to Netflix.

Here’s an example – a lovely story by KPIX journalist Kiet Do, shot entirely on an iPhone and done in a one-day turn.
