A Year of film school compressed into four days

We have been running these since 1988 – longer than anyone else in the world.

We know what we are doing. We invented the whole concept of The Videojournalist.

We’ve trained more than 30,000 people since then – and all over the world.

This month, October 20-23rd, we’re going to be running an intensive four day, hands-on bootcamp in New York, in the Museum Tower in Midtown Manhattan, right over the Museum of Modern Art.

The in November, we’re going to run another one in London (November 15-18) at the offices of The Guardian, one of the best newspapers in the world and housed in central London.

I am going to be teaching these bootcamps personally, along with Lisa.

You’ll have our undivided and highly personalized attention.

You’ll spend four days shooting, scripting, and editing 2 separate films with us. On your own.

You’ll receie highly personalized instruction and you’ll go out into NY or London to to shoot your films.
Then, we’ll all come back for our nightly screening sessions.

We’ll also talk to you about equipment, legal issues, how to start your own production company and where the jobs are – and lots more.

For more than 30 years, Michael Rosenblum has been on the cutting edge of the digital video journalism revolution. During this time, he has lead a drive for video literacy, and the complete rethinking of how television is made and controlled. His work has included: The complete transitioning of The BBC's national network (UK) to a VJ-driven model, starting in 2002. The complete conversion of The Voice of America, the United State's Government's broadcasting agency, (and the largest broadcaster in the world), from short wave radio to television broadcasting and webcasting using the VJ paradigm (1998-present). The construction of NYT Television, a New York Times Company, and the largest producer of non-fiction television in the US. Rosenblum was both the founder and President of NYT TV, (all based on this paradigm (1996-1998). The President and Founder of Video News International, a global VJ-driven newsgathering company, with more than 100 journalists around the world. (1993-1996). Other clients include Spectrum News, Verizon and CBS News.
