First, Nokia is offering you $5000 to support ‘making your film’ (if they accept your idea) and a shot at the $10,000 grand prize which is going to awarded at the Edinburgh Film Festival.  Edinburgh, by the way, is a lovely town – so long as you are not there in January.

Second – Youtube is putting up 500,000 Euros to suppprt new filmmakers.

I am pretty sure this if for UK filmmakers, but it’s always worth taking a shot.

The Internet, after all, knows no boundaries and if they ask for a UK address, just say, Buckingham Palace.

That should move you to the top of the list.

In any event, they’re giving out 25 grants of 25,000 Euros each.
