The World’s Greatest Filmmaking Course

Next month we will depart with around 40 participants on what I think will be the world’s greatest filmmaking and video course ever.

Or at least that is how I see it.

We’re running our video training bootcamp aboard the Crystal Cruise’s Crystal Serenity, one of the most luxurious cruise ships afloat today.

We, and 9 of our staff trainers will spend three weeks working with the program’s participants, teaching them to shoot, script, edit and produce video. In this case, the group will also work together to produce a half-hour documentary film on their voyage.

And where will the voyage take us?

We depart beginning of February from Capetown, South Africa and work our way up the African coast, with stops in Durban, Zanzibar and Mombassa. Then we head across the Indian Ocean to the Seychelles with our final destination – India.

It should be a pretty amazing three weeks.

And, we’ll be accompanied by a producer from The Travel Channel who will advise on what it takes to produce really high quality travel videos.

We’ve never done anything like this before (and neither has Crystal Cruises), but we think it’s got enormous potential.

If it works, we’re gonna do more.
