Today we started our 4-day intensive Travel Channel Academy bootcamp here at Travel Channel HQ in DC.
Network President Pat Younge addressed the group and explained that it was the goal of the network to create an army of content contributors.
So far… so good.
At the end of 4 days, if all goes well, another 40 new TJs or Travel Journalists will head out to start making content which, if it’s good enough, the network will buy. And, for the lucky few, (there have been about 6 so far) a full time contract to travel the world making content for the channel.
Beats sitting in a cubicle!
